The Crosscut Sawyer

This course is hosted by the University of Montana.

This course is designed to provide the basic technical knowledge needed by Federal land management agency employees and partners to use crosscut saws safely and efficiently for bucking in moderately complex or "B-level" situations. The course is intended to complement, but not replace, field certification, in which sawyers may also be required to prove their competence to a certifying official before being allowed to operate a crosscut saw.
