Unit Wilderness Workshops
Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center
Unit wilderness courses are 1- to 3-day workshops conducted at the field levelat National Parks, National Forests, National Wildlife Refuges or Bureau of Land Management Field Offices. These sessions are customized to focus on the most pertinent topics for the wilderness area(s) managed by the hosting office. Topics covered may include basic wilderness awareness and the fundamentals of stewardship, agency policy and guidelines, or detailed discussions about site-specific issues. The courses are designed for unit employees and can also include volunteers, partners, researchers, nearby units, and adjacent land management agencies.
